In a press release from Brussels dated today GS1 Healthcare announced their newly elected leadership team. The team members come from a list of companies that reads like the Who’s Who of healthcare. Here’s a list of the companies as stated in the announcement, followed by the two major quotes from the co-chairs — Tim Marsh of Pfizer and Mike Wallace of Abbott Laboratories – which speak to the momentum and ongoing mission of GS1 in healthcare applications:
The GS1 Healthcare Leadership Team embodies representation of key stakeholders in the Healthcare supply chain worldwide, including leading Healthcare organisations; Abbott Laboratories, Alcon Laboratories (Nestlé), Baxter, B.Braun, Covidien, GlaxoSmithKline, J&J, McKesson, Medtronic, Novartis, Novation, Pfizer, Premier, Robert Ballanger Hospital (France) and Smiths Medical… Many more Healthcare organisations are engaged in this initiative, either in the global user group or one of the 20 local user groups, from Australia to the US and from France to Japan.
